PORK RIB KOAY TEOW @ 19, HUI SIN HAWKERS' CENTER, KUCHING

This stall is simply called 19. Your normal Kolo Mee stall, but it's its sparerib soup that stands out from its usual fare. This soup calls for pork ribs to be simmered in soy sauce broth with generous f knobs of garlic... a bit like Bak-Kut-Teh minus the herbs. One can have a choice of noodle, flat rice noodle (Koay Teow) or vermicelli (Bee Hoon) to go with it.

A few of the stalls here are those sidewalk hawkers from Palm Road (opposite Miramar cinema), who were relocated here under protest. But business are better than before; who's complaining now?

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
