BEE PAU BEE

Bee Pau Bee literally translates to Rice Wraps Rice. Actually it's steamed glutinous rice moulded in rice flour skin. According to Mary (left), it's a Teochew delicacy. The rice filling is fragrant and a bit salty counters an otherwise plain tasting rice skin.

There's something about Mary... you can't resist from buying something from her. She's form Matang and does her rounds on the various food outlets in town selling her steamed cakes. Her cheery
demeanor will put you on the defensive if you don't ease her burden of lugging her cakes around. She can be found around the vicinity of Jalan Nanas/Rubber in the morning.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
