CELEBRATING DONG ZHI @ HAI SENG, SONG KHENG HAI GROUND FOOD & RECREATIONAL CENTRE, KUCHING

Pai Kut Ong (Spareribs King)

Fried Winged Beans with Dried Shrimps

Home-Made Tofu With Mixed Vegetable

Bitter Gourd Omelet

This dinner was a few Fridays ago. It was surprising that this place was open during this Chinese festival; usually most shops closed early for the day to have a Thanksgiving dinner with the family. Good thing it was open; save me the trouble of driving around searching for food.

It was a cheap and decent meal for 4. RM20 inclusive of rice. For drinks, we ordered fresh coconut water and sugarcane juice from the first corner drink stall.

First time I had the bitter gourd fried this way; normally it's fried scrambled eggs style. Learn something new everyday!

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
