DINNER @ PONDOK JAWA TIMUR, FAR EAST PLAZA, SCOTTS RD., SINGAPORE

Ayam Penyet Jatim (Smashed Fried Chicken)

Don't be fooled by appearance... this innocuous looking place serves up one helluva Indon grub. The number of Indon native-speaking customers in this place is enough of a testimonial already. It has about 30 items on the menu to choose from, and that is excluding the dessert. Prices range from $3.50 to $7.00 per portion. What more could you ask?

Lotong Cap Go Meh (Rice Cake with Chicken and Vegetable)

Gado-Gado (Mixed Vegetable in Surabaya Peanut Sauce)

Sayur Assam (Vegetable In Sour Soup)

Rendang Jatim (Beef In Gravy Sauce)

Pecel Lele (Fried Catfish Javanese Style)

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
