ONE-PLATE MEAL @ JUNCTION CAFÉ, JALAN SONG THIAN CHEOK, KUCHING

Buttered Chicken Rice

This café has been opened for quite some months now. It's the corner shop of block after the MAS office. Pretty nifty setup that caters for on-the-go crowd. Its tag line is: "Come in hungry, leave happy!"

We were here after 1 on a weekday, and only a few tables were occupied. The menu has a good selection of food and drinks, which borders on bastardized fare. We each ordered a one-plate meal. Service was prompt and the food delivery was pronto too! Some thought went into the presentation too. Taste-wise, it's pretty decent. And potion-wise, it's good for a light meal, and one can't complain for its price of RM3.80 each. The thing about these cheap fare eateries is that they sucker you in with the low price first , and then make a killing with its drinks, which is over ½ the price of the food.

Chicken Teriyaki Rice

Chicken Chop Rice

Grilled Lamb Shoulder Rice • Chicken in Cream Sauce Rice

Verdict: Happy!

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
