PORK LEG RICE @ MIN JOO KEE CAFÉ, JALAN ANG CHENG HO, KUCHING

A visit to this coffee shop was unplanned. I was driving along this vicinity, as usual, looking for grub... and lo and behold, there was a parking space right in front of this coffee shop - a rarity! I could have Kolo Mee, Bak Muay or Laksa (the usual suspect) for my breakfast, but hey, wait a minute, who did I see? Holy swine, it's... it's.....

...it's the father of all Too-Kar-P'ng!!! Well, almost.... father of ( the
Too-Kar-P'ng at ) Big Horse Café and Chai Song Soon coffee shop. So the rumor of his retirement is just a rumor. Ordered everything in sight, including the tongue, which the son and daughter don't carry, or was it the other stalls, I forget. Well, it's never too early to have rice! That took care of lunch as well. Hallelujah!!!

When you are at Hongkong Shanghai Bank and don't want to wait the queue this is the best place to have lunch!

waiting for the too-kar rice is just as bad as the bank's queue. the old man has still got it!!!

there was a too-kar p'ng stall here before (same spot), but he moved to hui sing, next to the police pondok. the porridge is done by a lady. the laksa at the last stall is quite famous by default (being there). the coffee shop owner sure has a fierce looking face.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
