YĪ DIÁN HÚNG @ #17, THIAN THIAN CAFÉ, HUI SING HAWKER CENTRE, KUCHING

Having ordered White Lady and Matherhorn, I asked the proprietor what else he had to offer. He replied: Yī Dián Húng (A Bit Of Red). What's that? He explained that it's a bit like Air Bandung (Malay's milk + red grenadine syrup drink).

So it is! It has longan and nata de coco with
grenadine syrup mixture on shaved ice, and finally topped with evapourated condensed milk. It's like a localized version of strawberry milk lite with fruity bits thrown in.

I thought the red concoction is called 'Ang Bak Ciu' (Red Eye), no? I heard they also serve something called 'Ocipala' (??).

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
