CLAYPOT DISHES @ FOODES KITCHEN, FOONG HUANG LOU, BDC, KUCHING

There isn't much going on in terms of food if you don't venture farther than the first coffee shop at BDC commercial area in the evening. Most of the stalls are closed for the evening, and this is one of the few stalls still operating. The food is pre-cooked and heated up in a clay pot once an order is placed. On its menu there are about half a dozen of items to choose from.

If you're not too finicky, the food is decent with a price to match. We opted for braised pork leg in soy sauce (above), and herbal chicken broth (bottom). Each pot costs about RM5, and it comes with a plate of rice.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
