PENANG FRIED KOAY TEOW @ KWONG HUP CAFÉ, LORONG TUN AHMAD ZAIDI ADUCE 8, KUCHING

If there's anyone who epitomizes Penang Fried Koay Teow in Kuching, it's Mrs. Tan (pic. above). She's the one most Kuchingnites identify with this dish ever since she first started out at 3rd. Mile Dung Guan area all those years ago. As of 1st. March 2008, she's relocated to this new premises along Jalan Keratapi (farther up from Unaco mini market)...

... this marks a new dawn, not only for Mrs. Tan, but a lot of familiar faces from the Bormill café; matter of fact all the stalls from the old place moved en bloc, lock stock and barrel - noodle, popiah, kueh chap and Nonya kueh. You won't miss a beat when it comes to the old familiar food one comes to associate with hawker's fare from Bormill.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
