MY RESTAURANT VISIT # 8 @ SAMA JAYA, KUCHING

Grilled Bacon Wrapped Chicken on a Skewer

This was dinner over the weekend, Mother's Day. It was a hectic time for Walter in the kitchen, hence the a la carte order. You've got to admire the tenacity of these Ang-Mohs, like the Panzar Restaurant in Sibu, they don't weaver from its norm (its normal menu) in the face of challenge; at times like these "exploitative occasions" others would take advantage to slaughter its customers with a special-priced special-menu.

Roast Lamb Shoulder

Walter was literally sweating it out in the kitchen, with occasional help from Angela. By the time we were through with our dinner, a few items on the blackboard menu had been erased; such was the speed at which the food was flying off the kitchen porthole. One thing I like about the blackboard is that it never remains constant; there are always changes on its items, while some of the old favorites stay. This time we didn't venture on its Yogurt Curry Pork.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
