CLAYPOT & OTHERS @ CAFÉ 919, JALAN TAMAN SENG GOON, KUCHING

Claypot Assam Fish

At lunch time, this place is mostly packed with the office crowd. It serves reasonably price food that's acceptable to our palate. The 2 claypot dishes were pre-cooked and heated up in the claypot upon order, and the rest of the dishes were pre-cooked too, and were kept warm in chafing dishes.

Claypot Braised Pork Leg

Consistency is a byword that still has to catch on in this establishment. In terms of the quality and quantity of the food served, they are mostly hits and misses especially in those 2 claypot dishes. Their chafing dish items look and taste delectable. One can't go wrong if you just stick with the wysiwyg food.

Braised Deep-Fried Tofu

Fried Long Beans With Minced Pork

Fried Chicken With Onions

Service was fast, and sometimes can be erratic when the crowd starts to built up; I have encountered occasional foul-ups. At times you wish this place was still in its uncharted territorial days.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

As the name implies, it's all about nothing! Kongkaying is like grasping in the air - more like hot air with occasional fartulence. Hopefully, something aromatic will come out of it! If not...
